57. Surrender of waste management licences
- A holder of a waste management licence may surrender that licence with the permission of the licensing authority.
- In considering a request to surrender a waste management licence, the licensing authority may-
- request such information as it requires to consider the request; and
- require the licence holder to take such steps as it considers necessary for the protection of the environment before accepting that surrender of the licence.
- The surrender of a waste management licence does not relieve the holder of the licence of any liability that the licence holder may have incurred whilst he or she was the holder of that licence.
